Experian says my score drop 16points

I don't understand why but I log into Experian today an notice my score drop 16 points. I did pay off my installment loan an it reported paid. The status says closed. Is this the reason why it drop so many points? I have checked inq an nothing. The only change in my report is that the CU updated as my loan is paid off an account closed. Was I not supposed to pay the loan off early?

Dunno if this applies to your circumstance directly but it might help to explain what happens sometimes when you pay off a loan.
