Experian sent email that derog was removed but it still shows on MyFico

I took care of that $35 medical bill that was hanging out on my credit and I must have asked Experian to remove it because they sent me a notice stating it had been deleted.  When I log in to my fico I still see it under my Experian credit report. What am I missing? Do I dispute it again from the MyFico website? Or wait?

You need to wait and allow Experian time to update.  There is nothing you can dispute with MyFICO as they are just showing what  Experian reports to them.

Your report itself doesn't update with your subscription. Only scores update, and then only when a trigger event occurs. Removal of a bad entry is not a trigger event.

Re: Experian sent email that derog was removed but it still shows on MyFico

Maybe I haven't made myself clear.  Experian sent me a letter stating the item has been deleted but it still shows up on the credit report I view on MyFico, com and I was wondering if I should dispute it using the informaton provided on MyFico.com.

FYI. I'd be suprised if my score doesn't improve (or is effected) once it is removed and no longer has any weight on my score but that's another thread I guess.

Did you purchase the credit report from MyFico after the item was deleted? If not, it won't show up.

This.

The CR you see on MyFICO is static, information only up to the moment you bought it. Unless you pony up additional cash for a brand new MyFICO CR, or wait the year until a new CR is pulled, that's it.

No, I purchased MyFico credit reporting BEFORE the item was deleted.

You know what's interesting? I paid the debt off BEFORE purchasing the credit report from MYFICO but my EQUIFAX report has since been updated on MYFICO.com to show it's been PAID. EXPERIAN on the other hand, still shows it as UNPAID (although they were the ones who sent the letter stating the collection has been deleted).

Weird! Smiley Sad

I'm going to give it a few days and I'll let you guys know what happens Smiley Very Happy
