Establishing revolv credit is the right step to building a credit rating. Low revolv (CC) %util and good payment history are very postitive in building credit for now, and also establshing length of credit. With only CCs, the area where you are taking a FICO hit is in the "credit mix" category, which is only 10% of total FICO score. Your "mix" of credit now has only a single flavor, vanilla. But you can only do what you can do for now, so make sure you improve in the other categories that you can now control. Continue to build your rating by lengthening your age of your revolv accounts, paying everything on time, and keeping your revolv %util low, and your credit score will steadily climb. Then, once your financial status permits you to secure an install loan, it will give you improved credit mix, and permit you to garnish a larger portion of the 85 points under teh credit mix category.
