Re: FICO REPORTS - NEED ADVICE!!!!

Hi Celeste, how old are the collections? Was the BK13 dismissed in 2000 or filed in 2000?

Okay, lets start with the dismissed BK. A dismissed bk will stay on the report for 10 years. If the bk 13 were discharged, it would be gone already. You can petition the courts to have it removed, but they are under no obligation to do so.

Auto repo--If I were in your shoes, I would just let this one roll off. After living with it for 6-1/2 years, you have taken the worst of it already.

What is your state's SOL and DOFD/DOLA for these collections? If outside of SOL, DV the CAs asap. If near SOL, "leave 'em lone" (as my DD used to say). If able to validate, you can go for PFD. Make sure you use a good strong DV letter though.
