What is the most used FICO version?

Of which bureau, and by whom?

For mortgages, it's:

  • Equifax Beacon 5.0 (the one here)
  • TransUnion: Empirica 04, aka FICO Classic Risk Model 04
  • Experian: FairIsaac Risk Model Version 2

* Credit is a wonderful servant, but a terrible master. * Who's the boss --you or your credit?
FICO's: EQ 781 - TU 793 - EX 779 (from PSECU) - Done credit hunting; having fun with credit gardening. - EQ 590 on 5/14/2007

Re: FICO Score

Thank you for the reply. Here is my dilemma, I want to apply for a mortgage and I just started cleaning up my credit. Apparently I have a TU score of 657 and a EQ score of 658. I would like to know the versions you stated for mortgages; are those used across the board for mortgage lenders? Recently, I opened up a credit union account and they pulled my credit report using a FICO version 08 and I asked the question if that is the same version that they use to pull credit for mortgages and they said "yes", but they also take to consideration the debt to income.
