FICO and paid collection....

On Friday, I had a Experian FICO score of 648 and disputed an inaccurate car loan balance, which they fixed fairly quickly.

At the same time, today Verizon Wireless erroneously reported an old cell phone account that was supposed to be combined with my current account. Instead, it showed delinquent. It caused my score to plunge to 553. I talked to them on the phone and paid the amount in question, and they promised to remove it from my credit report but said it would take up to 60 days.

Should I immediately dispute the charge since it's now paid. And once it's removed, will I recover my previous higher score?

Does anybody know? I was two points away from 650!
