My Fico score dropped 45 points in 10 months. One of the "problems" was seeking credit. I had got prequalified for a home loan and shopped rates. I had 3 inquires on this. 2 by the same mortgage company. I also opened on a stock account and the broker ran credit check. This is not a margin account. Why did this cause my score to go down and how do I correct?
