Re: Fraud on file on my credit report--what does it mean?

A Fraud Alert FORCES anyone pulling your credit to verify your identity prior to extending credit to you-

This is one of the ONLY things that is shared by the CRA's
It is 90's for the intial FA.
It can be used to combat ID theft by calling any of the CRA's

If you disputed INQ's - the CRA often placed a FA
A FA is requred to dispute INQ's with at least 1 CRA.
