Re: From 800+ to Foreclosure - How Negatives Affect Your Score

You are looking good! Thanks again for sharing and staying in touch!

Yes, the foreclosure and credit card settlement fell off of TU last month. I did the on-line dispute stating “too old to report” (EE) at about the six month mark and they granted it. Both of the baddies are scheduled to fall off of Experian next month (September), so I am looking forward to seeing what those scores do. I am not exactly sure when they will drop form EQ, but suspect it should be within the next couple of months.

Thanks!

Re: From 800+ to Foreclosure - How Negatives Affect Your Score

Jager,

Update to my message above.  The foreclosure and CC Settlement fell off of my Experian  report this morning.  My Ex FICO 8 score went from 752 to 801.  Ex FICO 9 went to 826.  My Ex FICO 2 Mortgage went to 820.  This now makes my middle mortgage score of the three bureaus 805.

The foreclosure is still showing on Equifax.  I hoping to get it off of there in a month or two.  Will keep you updated.

I am enjoying watching your progress!

Re: From 800+ to Foreclosure - How Negatives Affect Your Score

Hello Jager! I’ve thought about you a lot and have hoped that all is well for you! Looks like your recovery is going very well!

Yes, I have completely clean reports now and have been lucky enough to now have 850’s on all standard FICO 8 and FICO 9 scores. After such a rough road, it indeed does feel good.

Great to hear from you!

Re: From 800+ to Foreclosure - How Negatives Affect Your Score

I didn't even realize I haven't posted on months, lol. Foreclosure is coming up on 4 years here in the next week or two. I figured I'd buy the 30 score report shortly after just to see every score. Should I wait a week after it's 4 years old or should I wait until July?

I would wait till July TBH.

Aging metrics usually are on the first of the month other than inquiry exclusion; don't know much about Foreclosure but unless you want to pull twice in the name of science think you might be disappointed.  Or buy a 1B and see if it moved before the others I guess would be the hedge for better data.

Good to still see you around BTW!

Jager, I agree with Revelate.  If it were me, I would wait until July as well.  I too have experienced that some things on some reports seem to update at the beginning of the month.

So pleased that your recovery is going so well.  I really enjoy following your progress and appreciate how you have followed my recovery!
