Getting rid of 78% utilization on a card

The next data point which will be of great interest to me is a big drop in utilization on a single card, which will be reporting in about 10 days.

By accident I wound up reporting a $7800 balance on a $10,000 card last month, and my score got hammered.

When statement cuts on the 14th it will be much lower, maybe even zero, and the info will filter through here on around the 18th of the month.

Once it's filtered through on all 3 bureaus, I'll spring for another 3B report (I actually have a real-world reason to spend the dough this time, contemplating a car purchase and needing to check auto loan FICO versions), and can report what impact it had on FICO 9 as well as FICO 8.

Dropped 11 points on EX and 8 points on EQ, never showed up on TU for some reason

Before: approx 5/14, total $500/$137100

After: approx 5/15, total $8900/$142100
