Guys FICO Sallie Mae student loan scoring question?

I have a student loan with sallie mae and have been paying as agreed for 7 years. Recently I deferred the payments until next May. Today I got a message from my fico that my credit score decreased by 77 points.   Nothing else changed on balances, late pays or anything else. Does this sound right? I didn't expect it to have any impact on my fico score.

Hi mact60! Welcome aboard!

It looks as if something else may be afoot. You need to pull all three of your credit reports, directly from the CRAs. Deferring a student loan is not a negative. Perhaps it somehow got reported as a late, or there may be some other derog (a collection account perhaps) reporting.
