How do you tell a hard from a soft pull?

On my experian report there are a BUNCH (20-some) of pulls that "only I see"

These are from CC companies some of whom I have accounts with some of whom I do not

are these all soft pulls?

Then there are 4 that the reposrt  says anyone who pulls my report sees (only one is within 12 months)

Yes, they are soft. Also, myfico.com reports only show hards and only those within the last 12 months.

does that mean that as far as official FICO scores go, hard inquiries have no influence on the official scores at all after 12 months?

Correct
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid
