How does going from >80% to <1% UTL on a card not yield an increase

I paid down one of my cards from 401/500 to 3/1000 and my score didn't budge at all.

Everything else on the report is the same. I'm so confused and was really looking for a bump so that I could go on an app spree this week.

I still have one more card to report UTL from 75% to 20%, but after this, I'm guessing that will yield no change either.

The credit gods don't like me this week. :smileysad:

Your score is dependent on your entired credit file.

Going from 80 to 1% should have given you a decent bump.  What are you using to track your score?

Score bumps can be dependent on when your card issuer reports to the CRA.  Depending on your statement date(s) involved and when they report, it could take several weeks to see a bump in score.

The lower balance has already reported at least 10 days ago.

I'm using ScoreWatch.

Re: How does going from >80% to <1% UTL on a card not yield an increase

I think I might have hit or be close to the score I can control by changing utilization.

I have several SL lates from 3 years ago due to being put on a reduced payment plan. This might be as high as I can go until the lates fall off. Bummer.

Scorewatch seems to be lagging about a week with score changes.

Hope that's the case.
