How does it fall off?

I have a collection account that is coming close to the 7 year mark (June 2009).   What triggers it to fall off of my report?   Does the creditor notify the credit bureau or does the credit bureau just do it automatically?

It should just go away on the date.  No one will tell you anything  Smiley Happy
