No way to know without knowing what your utilization was before and what else is on your reports.  What are your baddies, and why are your scores in the 500s?

Is that all?  Your scores are in the 500s because of being maxed out and having one 30-day late?

How old is your oldest account?  How many inquiries in the last year?  Any charge-offs or collections?Judgments?  BK?

Prediciting FICO scores is a tricky business.  You need a lot of detail to make even an educated guess.

Edited because apparently I don't know how to spell.

Re: How much credit will go up if

650 was my score when i had nothing bad, but had about 70% credit card util (due to 3% APR offers).

730 is my score now, by bring my util to below 30% (but borrowing at 8% APR to payoff 3% loans makes me very angry.....5% more APR cost me 5k/yr extra on 100k borrowed....how is this smart financial management :smileymad: )

Re: How much credit will go up if

thank you--my scores were in 600 in ocotober--but the two credit cards i had were 30 day late and i closed them as a result score went down---and it was in 600 with cards being maxed out-  now with my utl at 9% and no lates in 90 days--- im going to assume score goes up as well
