My score was in 670 range. I hadn't had any inquiries in over 2 years. I applied for Cap1 and got approved for platinum card w/ $500 CL. I must've lost my mind and I decided to apply for a Discover & Barclay's iTunes card. I got denied by both of them. Discover gave me a pre-approval but then denied me because of al old charge off. Barclay's said no because of insufficient history.
I will not apply for any more cards, that's for sure. But i want to know how much damage I did to my report and about how long should it get back up to 670 or higher? I plan on buying my EQ or TU score again in a week to see the damage. I'm wanting to buy a car (Nissan) in next couple of months. I'm hoping I didn't **bleep** myself over on this one.
Depends on which bureau(s) were pulled If it was different bureaus then the damage is minimal. Here is interesting web site that might help you figure where they pulled your credit from http://whogavemecredit.com/index.php. You may get more concrete evidence due the new risk based pricing regulation.
