Look at it this way. If this were your very own account, would it help you? Is it squeaky clean, with low or 0 util, and older than your average age of accounts? If so, then it should help.
There is always a faint possibility that it will hurt, by moving you into an older score bucket where you don't look as good as your new peers. I doubt that will happen, but if it does, just ask to be taken off the card again.
There are no guarantees. All you can get here are opinions, most of them educated.
I wouldn't go ape adding AU accounts. I suspect that after X number, they're ignored, although I don't know that for a fact. And lenders can certainly tell they're not yours.
