Congrats MissHopeful! You will definitely see more improvement as your good tradelines age...

 

@mwmiller82: You should definitely do PFD (pay for delete) for those. Tell them you will pay the amount you plan to if they will remove them from your report. Get this in writing.

Curious??? What if I have already paid the balance off, how can I get the items removed from my credit report. Everything is paid off, but it is still there.

Writing "goodwill" letters is a great place to start. It's really kinda up to kindness for them to do this after everything has already been paid off, but you should give them a shot. Don't get discouraged if they don't work at first. I've managed to get about 9 collections off of my report learning about this on myfico Smiley Happy
