I really am frustrated with fair Isaac

I paid off one oft credit cards that only had a reported balance of 275 and what does fico do? Drops my score another 8 points. Nothing else happened total debt has continued to drop and every time I talk to customer service I get a completely different explanation as to why.

All my accounts are paid on time every time but that doesn't seem to matter.

I paid off a car loan early and what happens? I drop 40 points. Not single late payment on that loan and fico? Three different explanations as to why....

This latest 8 point drop will increase my cost on a mortgage by over 30k on a loan.....

And why? Absolutely no reason....

Re: I really am frustrated with fair Isaac

Are all your cards reporting a 0 balance? If so, u can see a ding in score from that. Best to have at least one card report 1% utilization.

when u paid off your loan early, it closed the account. I have had a small ding in score from an installment loan reporting closed.

Scores should rebound quickly though if u let a card report a small balance.

Don't waste your time and add to the frustration by talking to customer service. They don't understand this stuff any better than we do.
