Inquiry fading effect theory

Read a lot of old threads on here where people debated the inquiry fading effect. So what's the final answer.......does the inquiry lose it's effect gradually after 6 months, or keep its full blow until the year?

Re: Inquiry fading effect theory

IME inquiries had less impact on my score after 6 months and no impact after 12 months.  So yes there is some truth to the fading effect.
