Large Limit Cards Counted?

Re: Large Limit Cards Counted?

I've still got "recently seeking" on EQ, after six months. For EQ, that one specifically = too many inqs, and it seems separate from any ding for actually having gotten new accounts.

I'd say that "recently seeking" would stay on for 12 months, unless bumped by something more exciting, as inqs hurt for 12 months without a fade.

Too many inquiries for Equifax must equal 1 cause that's all I got and it is just a shade over 6 months old now.

Re: Large Limit Cards Counted?

There's another post I just read stating that CRAs don't count CUs like they do national bank cards.  If I read it right  that's why your CC doesn't get reported.  If I can find this post I'll tell you.

You can find this info on general credit issues -- there is a link from Barry also.

Re: Large Limit Cards Counted?

I think it's not that they don't get counted; they just don't carry quite the weight in scoring that cards from the majors do. But they're definitely counted; my PenFed and USAA cards are definitely factored into my util and number of accounts with balances.
