Last App'd For Card March 3, 2014

I applied for all my cards in my signature below form Feb. 2014 to exactly March 3, 2014 (1 yr ago yesterday) My question is, do I get those points back from apping now a year has past? Also, I have not applied for anything else what so ever in the past year.

Fico scoring question, the damage done by inquiries slowly wears off, and should have been almost nil at 6 months. I wouldn't expect a huge, if any boost from the drop off.

After a year, you should get some boost, although as Imperfect mentioned, most of the boost has already come.

Re: Last App'd For Card March 3, 2014

I posted this earlier today because my FICO score last year 785 on TU per Barclay (my approval score), and I was wondering if my scores would jump a little because I have not app'd for anything in the past year. Over this last year after all my apping for cards my FICO score has been from 785 to 767 on TU per Discover and Barclay.......... just got an email from Barclay saying my FICO score has changed. I checked and it now show a score of 804! WOW! I can't believe I went from 25 collection account a few years back, to 804! I was only expecting a little boost from Hard Pulls not counting against my FICO scores, but I didn't expect it to jump to 804......Now I'm wondering why it would go to 19 points higher than my 785 score of last years high.  BTW, over the past year, I have maximized my Fico scores by PIF except one card which has less than 10% util.

Congratulations on the score improvement!

Are the cards in your siggy, from a year ago, the only open accounts you have? How long ago were the collections?

Some thoughts: As the baddies fade, those help. Fading INQ would help some. As you build new months of good payment history, that helps. A full year of that with these cards may be the booster.

Are you monitoring scores consistently here or getting intermittent scores from CC statements?

High Bal Jan 2009 $116k on $146k limits 80% Util.
Oct 2014 $46k on $127k 36% util EQ 722 TU 727 EX 727
April 2018 $18k on $344k 5% util EQ 806 TU 810 EX 812
Jan 2019 $7.6k on $360k EQ 832 TU 839 EX 831
March 2021 $33k on $312k EQ 796 TU 798 EX 801
May 2021 Paid all Installments and Mortgages, one new Mortgage EQ 761 TY 774 EX 777
April 2022 EQ=811 TU=807 EX=805 - TU VS 3.0 765

Re: Last App'd For Card March 3, 2014

I cleaned all collections off by Jan 2014 and had an app spree February and March 2014..... I don't monitor my scores, I just see my TU scores from Discover and Barclay and just just make sure I'm on time with my payments. I PIF all cards except 1, I leave less than 10% balance on that 1 card. My collection account were from 2007 to 1st week of 2014.....all of them are off my credit report except for a 45.00 parking ticket that only shows up on Experian. It's from June of 2010.

huge congrats on the 800 club, I think accounts aging to a full year may have also helped. but then again it's just my uneducated guess.
