We haven't ever had a mortgage, but are planning to get one soon.
I noticed that my Experien Mortgage FICO score is 80 points lower than my Experien FICO number. My TU and EQ on the other hand are only a few points different than my mortgage score.
Any thoughts on this?

Yes, sometimes the FICO scores between models vary wildly because they are based on different algorithms which weigh each portion of your credit report differently.
My Experian-08 is 692 and the mortgage score is 667. I only have one baddie on that report ( collection due to fall off in July) with 5% util. So I know that is weighing more heavily in the mortgage version.
Do you have any baddies on the Experian report? Utiilizaton over 9% ?
