Just pulled new TU just now. 796 up from 784. There were no positives listed. I freaked out when I first saw page 2 and the left side of the scales were all red with 4 negatives and no positives. Maybe I should call tomorrow to make sure the score is accurate. I just opened a new account last month. The report doesn't list AAofA but from my calcs it should be a month short of 5 years. Longest account 14 years. 1% U no inqs. 31 accounts. I'll take a 796.

Hey smallfry,
i tried that free credit report and score from AMEX (even though the score is FAKO). I looked at it before and after I applied for amex. the amex hasn't posted yet but there was one hard inquiry from amex recently when i applied. luckily, only one instead of 2 because i actually went into costco to apply again. i do have another amex inquiry from 23 months ago but i am ignoring that. so, i see my FAKO score drop 9 points because of that recent amex inquiry. so, do you know why your score went up?

I had 8 out of 31 accounts reach their birthday May 1. Actually I would have thought the score would be lower because I opened a new account in April but since my Equifax score went up I was just hoping to stay flat. Maybe I would have hit 800 if I had waited a month to apply for the Amex? 796 is good enough for me though.

Yeah but I didn't go to myFICO12. All I did was click on my most recent TU score on this website to get an updated score and report.
Great score smallfry!!! Congrats

This just happened to me. And I did the same thing, clicked on buy todays report. I don't understand. This is how I always do it and it's never happened before. What is this /12? Is the score real then?
edit: Also, when I type www.myfico.com , /12 automatically comes up in the URL. Is this like this with everyone?
/12/home.aspx to be exact
If you ever clicked a myfico.com/12 link, a cookie gets placed on your computer and you'll forever go back to that site. Annoying quite frankly. You can clear your cache (depending on your OS) and it'll go away and then you can come back to myfico.com without the /12.
The scores are legit and the same on here, but the report layout is different and focuses on the reason codes, or at least from what I recall from my last visit.
Thanks for the response. That makes sense because i have noticed lately when I log in that the screen looks a little different. You said to clear your cache...how do you do that?
Cool. I figured it out. The problem is no more. Thank you, Ilecs.
