My FICOs and TC scores closer than ever

In an amazing coincidence, my TC FAKO scores are remarkably accurate on two CRAs today:

EX: FICO 719 / TC 718

EQ: FICO 712 / TC 712

TU: FICO 690 / TC 641 (Oh well.  Can't win 'em all, I guess)

Further evidence that even a broken clock is right twice a day.

I just posted something similar on another thread.  Two out of the three are w/in 3 points.  EQ, the lone ranger for me as of late, is the one that's off.  EQ TC 689/Fico 675.  TU is MY closest!

Astonishingly, here's how well my scores match! take a look:

FICO: EQ: 724 TU: 721 EX: 715 (new sad post-app scores)
FAKO: EQ: 738 TU: 676 EX: 657

Oops, that's right, they don't match...

My FICO scores have gone up a fair amount while my TC scores have remained flat. They used to be fairly similar.

I just suscribed to MyFICO today. I will be buying my first house in the next few months and I'm obsessed with credit scores. On TrueCredit, my Equifax credit score is 80 points lower than on MyFICO! That's a huge difference! I sure hope when I go in to apply for a mortgage that they have access to the higher number...

Hi, HouseHunter, and welcome to the FICO Forums!

Yes, that is a huge difference.  The reason for that difference is that the scores you see on TrueCredit are not scores that are used by any actual lenders, and are what we around here call FAKOs.  Fortunately, when you are mortgage shopping, the only scores that matter will be your FICO scores, which are the scores you get here on MyFICO.
