My Score Went Up 1 Point .... ONE (wtf)

I just got a scorewatch update and my FICO score went up one point.

One.

What the hell is that?

One measly point?

Shouldn't these things be going up or down in incriments of five or something?

What's the point of going up one little point?

I don't understand this scoring system.

and they don't even explain why.

The balance on one of your accounts has increased by 1600%

Uhm, well I guess it's not really all that bad:

I got a 2 point rise today, the same day as a change in my EQ report.

This jump in your FICO® score happened on the same day as a change on your Equifax Credit Report™ which triggered an alert. It's likely that the change in your credit report caused your score to go up"

The alert said:

"The name in your credit file has changed "

"The names listed on your credit report have no effect on your FICO score"

Hmmmm
