Very interesting....got a new TU report here today & on my scale page, under what's hurting my score:
2 ...You have too many credit accounts.
Number of your credit accounts currently paid as agreed 16
Ummmm...what the heck is that all about?? My last "new" acct was in January, so I've had that many for several months now. The only other negative is my length of revolving history being 5 years 11 mos. (actual, not average)
Anyone else ever had this??
How many TLs do you have reporting on your Accounts page (opened and/or closed)? Some people get that annoying reason when they hit 30 TLs reporting. If this is your first time seeing this, then something shifted in your pos/neg reasons resulting in this comment being exposed.
Hey Ilecs....here's the difference between last mo & this mo:
Total accts: 16 16
W/balances 5 6
Opened in last yr: 4 on both
Inq's 4 on both
My overall ratio went down....from 27% to 24%
I think that maybe they have to find *something* other than just one negative & that was all they could find besides the age thing... That's my theory anyway!
I agree that FICO just has to come up with something. When scores get as good as yours are especially. Now my scores and credit reports have TONS of good reasons to be negative

AKA "Nitpicking 101".
My only negative comment anywhere is from TU and they always tell me my "non-mortgage balances are too high".
