@Anonymous wrote:I find it interesting that a car dealer ship who is selling YUGO would not say on thier Web site that they do not sell VOLVO so if you are looking to buy a VOLVO do not buy the YUGO. Yes i did some reasearch and google sent me here to get my fico scores because i am looking for a home mortage. My mistake but I should have had the option to stop my subscription after on month after i discovered that the scores i 'm paying for are not the ones i need. IMO the reason that they make you pay for three months is that alot of people gets sucked in the same way I did and if they just let them cancle they would loose money. Soon i will be done.
The problem with the "say the correct brand name" argument is, My fico, this website, is run by Fair Issaac Corporation, the originator of the central FICO score. Where people get confused is, their Mortgage or auto loan may be using some other CREDIT SCORE. The shorthand of other groups is "Oh, we use a FICO score" when in fact they use a different Credit Score model or some other version of FICO from what is used here.
The argument that the score presented here is "wrong" is missing the main point, the main purpose of MyFico. By monitoring your credit, you can ensure that your credit scores of all kinds are heading in the correct direction. By monitoring all the additions to your credit report for changes in balances, all you really need to work on is, improving your credit scores. The actual scoring model used when you go to apply for a mortgage or car, it is what it is, but if you've worked on your credit file through monitoring here, it should be improved for those other credit scores also.
Don't blame the messenger, My FICO: your credit score is what it is.
I would have just liked to have known that what i was getting was not what the mortage lenders use so i could have had the option to not subscribe to something that yes is some what usefull though it is very slow on updating. but is not what the mortage lenders use and once i found that out I was stuck paying for some thing i did not want.

Did you learn more about FICO scores, credit scoring, and where your credit ranks after the effort of the research? Sometimes we have to invest time and money to really understand a topic. You may have rather not spent the money, but at the time you didn't fully understand the topic.
Education costs money, and frankly $20 per month when you are researching mortgages that are going to cost thousands over years seems like a minor blip on the radar.
My opinion.
Cheers!
