Need Help With Next Steps To Raise Scores...HELP!!!

Hubby and I are working to improve scores for home purchase...the forum has been helpful BUT

Is there anyone who can help us step-by-step with this rebuilding process (looking at exactly what we have on CR's and advising (obviously not legally but experience wise) plans of actions for optimal score increase by Jan or Feb 09? I feel overwhelmed with all of the info I've read on the forum (PTD, GW, DV, HIPPA letters, it's all so confusing)...we've paid down 99% of cc debt so I'm sure we've done most of the work..but unsure of our next steps. HELP!!!!!

Some questions to consider:

How many GOOD accounts do you have? If the answer isn't at least three or four, your score will be slow to recover.

When was your last baddie? If it was less than six months ago, your score probably won't start to recover yet...but don't let that stop you from trying, because it WILL count later.
