And there a lot of SA expatriate groups in some of the larger cities in the US.  They can be very helpful

BTW, I hope you enjoy your first American Thanksgiving. And I guess it's supposed to be summer for you--hope your life doesn't get any more confusing for a while!

Thanks, when you do go to South Africa you have to make Cape Town part of your itinerary.

Re: New Credit Card -17

I was looking at the TransUnion website and they offer a product at $14.00 per month that will give you access and monitoring of all 3 credit score and reports. Sound like a better deal than what MyFico offers. Any suggestions or advise?

Thanks again for all your advise and comments.

Regards

Don't even think about Experian or TU. They do not use FICO. free credit report or truecredit are rip offs and mean nothing to anybody.

myFICO is the consumer division of FICO. Since its introduction 20 years ago, the FICO® Score has become a global standard for measuring credit risk in the banking, mortgage, credit card, auto and retail industries. 90 of the top 100 largest U.S. financial institutions use the FICO Score to make consumer credit decisions.
