New SSN, Old credit cards

Hello,

3 years back I came to this country and I got 2 credit cards from Bank of America, bank didnt put any SSC number since I was on a visa. I had no Social Security Number but I got approved to for Credit cards with no security deposit. In there app there is an option for View my FICO score, it shows my score 742. Im soon going to get social security number. My question is that by now I've 3 years of History and good credit score so by updating my SSC in my credit cards would i get this history or I've to start all over again.

Thank you.

Re: New SSN, Old credit cards

My guess is that you ask your lenders to add your SSN, then the next time they report to the bureaus, instead of a blank SSN field, it will have your SSN.

You should keep all your history, because name, DOB, address, card info, etc. will be the same.
