After a refi on the mortgage in January, the FICO scores took a bit of a hit. But, thanks to leveraging this site and using the score tracking, I was able to recover rather quickly from the mid 600's. Most of it was settling out from the refi, but, a good portion was also understanding how FICO scores actually worked. This site is invaluable in that regard.

Re: Our Forums' FICO High Achievers: Who has at least one FICO Score of 760 or above?

Joined the 800 club...for the first time...EVER!

Was previously in the upper 700s range,  with TU (TU98) showing a 779 here.  Prior to going in the Garden, got some scores from issuers (as noted in my signature) that are more relevant, since they are newer scoring products.  So 2 out of 3 now has me above 800!  I have no idea where I am EX-wise, other than what I can get from their site and CS, which puts me in the 750ish range.

In The Garden 02/01/13
TU(TU04)=813 (TU98)=765 EQ(BEACON 9.0)=803 (Beacon 5.0)=740 EX (EX08)=747(6/2013) CL=$123,650 TOTAL/UTIL= ~5%

Re: Our Forums' FICO High Achievers: Who has at least one FICO Score of 760 or above?

Hi,

My fico score dropped 13 points since I opened a new credit card about 2 months ago. I was suprised it dropped because the new credit card has a higher limit than any of my other cards.

No other changes have been reported.

Does any one know how long or if it my score will go back up some time soon?

Thank You

Nano - I don't think it really matters how high a credit limit is, if you apply for a new card, your score will drop.  If you charge on it, it will probably drop further.  It might take a couple of months of usage or not for a credit score to go up again.  Keep track of how you use your cards; and limit yourself to minimal charges if at all.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Starting Score(1/1/10): EQ: 813 -- TU: 804
Current Scores (2/13/13) - EQ (Beacon): 808; TU: 795; EX: 808

Goal Score (12/31/13): Whatever

Re: Our Forums' FICO High Achievers: Who has at least one FICO Score of 760 or above?

I am not sure it counts but I jumped over 800 on EQuifax... my score here shows 789 but I apped for Discover and was approved. The letter in the mail had my EQ score attached, which was 819....

My Experian is 767 according to the Bank of america Approval Letter during the same app spree...

My TU is the only lowball... showing up at walmart as 739...

So to recap

EQ: 819

EX: 767

TU: 739...

This is with a forecloser at 5.5 years old on all three reports...

Sette - I guess strange things happen when you're not looking. :smileyindifferent:   Are your scores FICO scores or something else?
