I logged on to credit karma to see what my credit score is. They have a feature that lets you see what would happen to your credit score if you do certain things. So I put in the condition that I pay off $5000 from my credit cards and it predicted that would cause my score to drop a few points. Why would that happen? Paying off $10,000 or more made the score go up.
