They are both probably correct.   First of all are you sure that AMEX didn't give you an Experian ( EX ) score ?

MyFICO sells Transunion ( TU ) and Equifax ( EQ ).

Geez, I honestly don't know. I didn't pay attention when I saw the score. I guess I'll have to find that out. I just assume it was Equifax. Monica

AMEX almost always pulls EX, so I'm guessing that is probably what they gave you.

Re: Question about diffrent scoring....

I've found out that companies will use different versions of credit scores too. Discover pulled EQ and it was about 10 points lower than my score here. When I got Chase, they used their own proprietary score.
Barclaycard Apple Financing (2100), Discover More (2500), US Bank Visa Platinum (2000), CFNA (2200), Chase Freedom (500), Capital One (500)

Starting Score: 641 (Jan)
Current Score: 632 (May)
Goal Score: 720

Re: Question about diffrent scoring....

It all depends on what they use to pull your credit.

I had my EQ at 743 here, Discover pulled it at 739.

AMEX had my EX at 760, so it's all over the place.
