Quick Scoring Question

Quick question,

My scores hit in the 800,802,785 range 2 months ago. I paid a credit card on down 50% not even close to 10% on the card I have 1% on it. All the other 4 have zero balance on them. My question is I left 100.00 on one card this month and zero on all the others. Should I pay them all to zero TODAY, is due date to see if it will push me back over 800 again as paying that 50% of the 600 on the card took about 11 points off.

I hope that made sense

I have 5 cards.

I use all 5 every month

pay all down to zero except one

on that one I leave 1% of CL

Should I pay them all to Zero just one month or NO ?

thanks

Trying to push on in 800+ so I don't even see the numbers 790 anymore. Trust me this has been a long hard road.

thanks for any input.

This really isn't the correct thread for you. I would say you want to post in the General Credit Thread for more helpful answers.

Hi there OP,

I have created your own thread on this. I have changed the title which you can edit if you wish and left everything else intact.

Should you pay the last one to zero? No, most definitely no.

You need to have at least one card reporting else your score will drop if all revolvers report zero.

Said another way, you have already optimized for credit cards, nothing else you can do to optimize this part of your file.

That does leave open the question of whether you have an installment loan.

Congratulations on the 800

Re: Quick Scoring Question

Don't do it - I accidently paid all to 0 - confused a date - and lost 32 points.......Let one card report a balance!
