I recentIy applied for an apartment that required a minimum score of 600.
I purchased my scores from myfico.com
EQ: 631
TU: 627
EX: 649
I also purchased my score directly from Experian.com, it said a 627.
I happily went to the property company. Spent $30 on a credit check.
My score came back a 569 from Appfolio.
What is going on???
It is a FICO score, from Experian.
Thats why I also purchased my score directly from the Experian site to confirm.
I really didn't want to be embarrassed, so I double checked.
I've been working really hard to correct my past mistakes, this just feels like another setback.
Both.
My only guess is that this appfolio is an enhanced score specifically for rentals, though I haven't heard of that before. Have you had rental problems in the past, because that could account for why you got a lower score.
None. The rent payment summary states no negative items.
I just recently started building my credit. Im in my mid 20's and never really paid much attention to my CS. I've made great strides in fixing this. But, my few negatives are having a large impact due to my small sample size of credit.
The score you got from the experian site directly is not FICO, it's FAKO.
