Yes, a charge card means you pull the full amount you charged by tge due date. Therefore you pay no interest and should only be charging what you can afford to pay back in a lump sum.

For me, it instills the discipline that we should all have to PIF monthly. I've been guilty of letting balances report in the past and my Amex forces me to PIF monthly to support that good habit. With the exception of one utility that doesn't take Amex (), 100% of my purchases go on Amex and forces me not to spend more than what I have in the bank to cover it. Plus the rewards are not that bad.
