Apparently so. Late last month I had two neg items removed. Oh, and I just today got a letter from Barclay's. I was declined for the card because of "Too few accounts with sufficient satisfactory performance." Their bureau? TRANSUNION! My credit rating on 3/2 was 601. Can you believe that? I applied 5 days too soon!

I would say your new found scores require a complete re-thinking of your potential apping strategy, prior to pulling the trigger on any apps. It's a whole different tier of cards that opens up now.

although, for myself, I'm staying away from Barclays. With the number of accounts I have? not a good mix. They declined me in July 2014 for the Arrival Plus, which was probably a good thing.

My TU on July 28 2014 that Barclay declined me from was 711. On August 6 2014 US Bank approved me for a $17k Travel Rewards with a TU of 741. go figure. Different models most likely.
