Re: Score drop from paying credit card?!

Thanks everyone. Because the NFCU bill is due April 4th, that one will report first, so I'll let that one have the $50 balance. My CapOne is due April 16th, and reports on April 20th.

The only baddies I have on my Equifax report are:

Fair Collections, 2011 - $1,668 - Now reporting as "Closed $0"

Medical Collection, 2011 - $1,190

BB&T, 2011 - $1,411 - Settled for $705; waiting for update to reports

Thanks for the encouragement regarding the mortgage. I was quite frustrated at first thinking there was no way possible for me to get a mortgage. But after much discussions with our lender and putting our mind at ease, I am more optimistic that my husband and I will get this house. His scores and debt are fine, it's my credit that's the issue for us.
