Score dropped after new account reported

I applied and was approved for a Mileage Plus Visa and when it started to report my score dropped. I knew it would drop but when will it jump back up again and how soon.

Depends on your file.

I only recorded a drop which apparently coincided with an alleged AAOA boundary out of all the tradelines I've had report.

For me I regained those points 2 months later when my AAOA again passed that alleged boundary.  For others could be a lot more, as such YMMV.
