Thanks everyone.

I’ve scrutinized my report and all of the accounts are mine.

These errors can be a hassle because a common security question asks about addresses you’ve had.

I love the tip on LexisNexis. I can’t wait to see what’s on my permanent record!

Can they ever!!  I can perform only limited operations on the Barclay site because most every function is protected by a set of 'public information' security questions and, notwithstanding that I answer the questions correctly, the site advises that my answers are wrong.  It is, as they say across the pond, a bleedin' nuisance.

I just initiated my first dispute with them earlier this week.

On pages 1-2 of my file (FAQ) one of the questions is "How do I contact you if I have questions about my report or want to to correct information on my report?"  The answer says you may contact them via email, phone, or mail.    The mailing address noted in the FAQ section is just the PO - no specific 'Attn To'.

I'm trying the email route  - it appears this email is good for any one of the report types because it's listed on the intro / letter page for each report.   I received a confirmation of receipt with a reference number -- so we'll see if this works - and if not, then I'll try mail.

To answer your Q about mail -  I think you can send any dispute to the standard Consumer Center PO address - regardless of report type - and just specify which report you are referencing in your dispute.  It seems as though the consumer center handles the entire consumer Full Disclosure.   Also, on my report, some of the incorrect data appears in several of the report types.  Seems crazy to send individual letters to each sector.  In my email, I just listed which reports contained the incorrect information and that I wanted to have it corrected on each.   I think if the incorrect info is only appearing in one report, then it makes sense to send a dispute addressed specifically to that sector using the 'Attn To' - though I honestly think that's just for mail sorting purposes given it's the same PO for all.  I guess you could always call and ask.

And yes, I'd send it CMRRR just for tracking purposes.

I looked at mine again, the FAQ is actually near the very end of the disclosure (page 50 of 52) and lists the mailing address and email. In the meantime, at the beginning of each report (e.g. say the collections decisioning one), there's a cover letter stating "Thank you for contacting us regarding <report name>" and ends with:

LexisNexis Consumer Center

Attn: Collections Decisioning

P.O. Box 105108

Atlanta, GA  30348-5108

lexisnexis-disclosure.png

They have the same consumer number but different case number.

But I agree that sending a separate letter to each department is a bit too crazy, so I guess the best I can do now is to call/email them and draft one dispute letter listing all the reports containing the address in question. I've actually received a copy of Benefit Assessment disclosure separately before getting the full disclosure, and already saw the address I'd dispute, and sent them a dispute letter which delivered on Jan 4th according to tracking, but never heard them back. The Benefit Assessment report does have a different case number than the Full File Disclosure, but both use BO Box 105108.

BTW, please do let us know how your dispute goes, I'm interested in that too. Waiting for the thread.

Also when you request a "Full File Disclosure" from LexisNexis, that's still not everything they have for you in their database.

They also got Accurint, which is not regulated by FCRA, which then means can contain inaccurate or incorrect information and you pretty much don't have the right to let them correct the information. From what I have read elsewhere, Accurint has been used to generate identity verification questions.

Re: Street Addresses?

Here’s a web address with instructions and the form needed to request LexisNexis Full File Disclosure (FFD):

https://personalreports.lexisnexis.com/access_your_full_file_disclosure.jsp

I wasn’t aware of such a thing. Is there a forum where these files are discussed? I’m looking forward to receiving mine.

"General credit topics" would be a good subforum to discuss this at myfico. IMO we need to have more topics related to this.

Re: Street Addresses?

Requested my LN file via email on Friday, 2-Feb-18.  Easy process.

I received immediate confirmation of the request shortly after I sent the email, and a message on Monday morning, 5-Feb-18, that the report was in the mail.

I'm hoping that it'll have the incorrect info that effectively prevents me from using much of the Barclay site.

Re: Street Addresses? - LexisNexis Update

Hey,

Figured I'd update this thread with my success in disputing items on my LexisNexis Full File Disclosure.  I wrote a post about my experience - and included some background info on the type of info LexisNexis reports -  it's a bit long but some may find it useful.

Thanks for this terrific post! You’ve provided very helpful insights (and reminded me that I haven’t received my Lexis report).

Re: Street Addresses? - LexisNexis Update

My pleasure! Has it been 10 days since you ordered your reports? If so, call them. They're very helpful but they seem to slack on the paperwork side of things.

Please post back once you do receive them... I'd love you know if you're as creeped out as I was!
