TU FICO score jump

I was a little hesitant when I received an email from Barclay telling me that my TU Fico score had changed.  I had requested a CLI from Barclay's this past Thursday and of course got a TU hard pull.  Luckily after recon I was raised from $2,050 to $4k.  Thought the alert would be where my 648 fico dropped because of the hard pull... But, NO, my TU fico jumped from 648 to 698...What was my lowest FICO for several years is now my highest, with Equifax coming up right behind it with a 683.

What was the reason for the 50 point increase??? Apparently my chapter 13 dropped off a month early.  Had TU waited till the last minute it would have fallen off the end of February.

Very happy it is now gone from TU.  Experian dropped it early in December.  Equifax will probably hold onto it until the end of February..  Be interesting to see what will happen to my Equifax when it drops.  Will see.

Just wanted to Share.....Oh, not that it matters, but my Vantage score jumped 70 points....fyi.

Thanks for all the wonderful help and guidance I have received from this forum..

Congrats to your success Smiley Happy

Yes BK coming off can result in 50+ points you get re bucketed. I too have a BK-7 dismissed from 02/05, it is only on TU now but my TU Fico is depressed by about 55 points over the other 2 with near equal information.

Re: TU FICO score jump

i have been dreading 'rebucketing'.. So are u saying ur TU score then dropped after it went up due to rebucketing???  I have been told by several people that was what happened to them, but I can't seem to find out how long it took to rebound..

Re: TU FICO score jump

No,no I am saying my TU score is less than my score on EX & EQ because the BK is still being reported on it, if the BK was gone the score would be up around what it is with the other 2 bureaus.

Re: TU FICO score jump

Oh, thank you 'gdale6' for clarifying.  I have read horror stories about fico score drops due to rebucketing and was actually just reading about it.

I don't know at what point rebucketing begins.  I read there are certain catagories that throw you into it, but other than that I am clueless.

Again, thank you.

Take care
