The Credit Lord Giveth...

...then the Credit Lord taketh thirty three points away because I didn't PIF before my Chase statement posted. So I went from 747 to 718 because I had about $400 on a $750 limit.

This is why credit reporting makes no sense. It's so flaky as to be ridiculous. Last month I was  friggin' golden boy of credit, and now I'm not. So ridiculous... "You've made heavy use of your available revolving credit."

That $400 (which is already paid) will have more of an impact than the nearly $900 (new computer yay!) I have on my Discover card, because I haven't passed some magical utilization limit on that one. I just don't get how this makes any sense, or what good it does for the credit companies to base so much decision making on what can be such a short term thing.
