I just refreshed my score and my Authorized User status on a 13K Discover with 0 balance just reported bringing my UTIL down to 7% but I only got a 2 point increase.
What gives?
So your card was maxed out? and you paid it down to below 10%? Do you have other cards that are maxed out? Which report did you pull to verify balances. Also, is this the EQ score from this site? Not everyone is in the same scoring bucket (ie: the FICO factors are weighed differently depending on what is on your report).
No, I was added as an AU adding 13K to my UTIL. I was at 101% UTIL but after adding the high CL, it dropped to 7%.
I got it directly from EQ (which I refresh everyday)
What else is on the report?
How old was that account you got added to and what was your AAoA before being added?
It also sounds as if you still have a badly maxed-out card, which is going to continue counting against you until you get its balance way down. Remember that scores consider both overall util and util of individual cards.

Sounds like this a FAKO score. While your real FICO might have gotten a bump (assuming you have no supressing baddies), your individual util is still 101%. Are you over the limit?

+1. If this is the Equifax Credit Score then ignore it. FAKOs often behave in an opposite way from FICO scores.
