But what I can't understand is my credit being affected by this court action even if promptly paid after the court rules in the favor of the plaintif for what 8-10 years into the future? because my child did something wrong? isn't it bad enough I must pay damages to the affected party never mind have my credit score decreased well into the future? For something mind you that was not even in my hands to control.
