If you need something to post quickly, one thing you can do is go through previous statements and see how quickly transactions from certain merchants are to post. You'll likely find that transactions with Merchant X consistently post quickly while transactions with Merchant Y tend to lag. Along with that, some merchants take longer to claim their money on weekends; with others, weekends don't seem to matter.
