Denial letter from Walmart had 688 TU fico. Barclay and Walmart FICO's are both 656. Why is there such a difference consideringthey all use TU?
There are MANY, MANY different FICO models.
...the scores vary over time as data is updated ...variances of 20-30 points over a week or more are not uncommon
...if you got a denial from Walmart with a TU score of 688 where did the Walmart TU score of 656 come from?
...I'd be more interested in WHY Walmart denied you with a TU score of 688 ...that score would normally get approved for "some" CL by them ...did you recon?
They(Sync-WM) denied the credit limit increase as I alraedy have an account with them. The score came from their free monthly FICO.

check the date from the denial letter, my last Walmart CLI denial showed they used a report dated aug. 28th... even then it was a 3 month old report.

I agree. Walmart typically uses an older credit report.
So back then you (OP) had a 688 credit score. Your current score as reported by Barclay and Walmart is 656. Your score has basically dropped points since the original report was pulled.
Your 656 shown by Walmart / Barclay is your accurate TU 08 score.
What is more worrying is the drop in points, losing 32 points in less than half a year is of concern. If you have high utilization, it may be time to start budgeting a bit so your scores improve instead of going down.
