@Anonymous wrote:When I looked into the partner cards, the fine print regarding APR's, etc. states the the offers are only good for such and such time and that "and requires that you maintain your current level of credit performance and that timely payments are received." This is probably the reasons for the soft pulls. To get people who use a sudden jump in score to apply that is not a true reflection of their score.

Does Barclays utilize any other CRA besides Transunion?
Hey, everyone, I'd like to point out that this is an ancient thread (2007) that was brought back to life by a new member. Nothing wrong with that, but there's a lot of obsolete info here.
In fact, this thing is so old that it was started before we even had the Credit Cards forum! I couldn't figure out what it was doing on Understanding...
Anyway, I wouldn't lean on much that's in here, other than AFAIK, Barclays is still a TU-puller.
Check over on Credit Cards for much more current discussing about who pulls what.
barclays does the barnes & noble card, right? they pulled my eq about a year ago.

Was curious to if anyone knows what credit cards will pull Transunion as your credit report. They by far have my highest fico score. Thanks to anyone what knows. -David
It's been quite a few years since I applied but the following companies regularly soft my TU history:
Discover
Citi
Wells Fargo
And before their collapse, Washington Mutual softed my TU history.
Amex, AT&T, and Chase soft my Experian history.
Capital One, Chase, Citi, and Wells Fargo soft my Equifax history.
I dunno why some companies soft more than one CRA and others just one of them.
That sure is a long list! Where do they start on scores in TU for approval?
