Ok so I applied for a Wells Fargo secured card and was denied they said my experian credit score was 591. I applied for a US Bank secured and was approved and they said my experican credit score is 566. So which is truly my score?
Did they say EX FICO score or EX score?
Wells Fargo states:
Your credit score, a FICO score(they had fico in all caps), used by us in taking the above action is 591, which is created on March 1, 2013 and provided by a credit reporting agency, Experian , PO BOX 2002, Allen, TX 75013
U.S. Bank states:
Your credit score is 566
Source: Experian PO BOX 2002, Allen, TX 75013
There are many versions of credit scores that are available to both financial institutions and consumers, the version used was Experian FICO Classic V3.
(date checked score 2/22/13)
So which one is truly a FICO credit score is are both of these FAKO?
If they said FICO, then each of them are FICOs, just different versions. The one from US Bank says it is a FICO classic V3.
Both are real.
is both are real then which one is correct? could it be us bank which pulled my score on 2/22/13 and when wells fargo pulled it on 3/1/13 and the score was 591...could it have gone up?
But then that doesnt make sense either because wells fargo has a promotion where you can check your credit score for free with a provided promotional code. When I checked Experian on 3/12/13 it said my vantage score is 552. Im so confused!!!
Ok so I have another confusing problem. US Bank has a thing for cardholders that can check the score for free and the version that this one used is:
Your Experian Credit Score is based on the Plus Score model and is for
educational purposes and is not the score used by lenders.
My score is 591
So is this a FAKO?
They are both real FICO scores, just different versions. Each version will provide a somewhat different score because of the algorithm used to get the score.
They are both correct for the version that was used.
The one from the EX is not a real FICO score and shouldn't be used for comparison with a real FICO score.

From your other post they said the 566 was based on FICO Classic V3 which is a real FICO score.
What they offer for checking your score for free is the EX Plus score and is not a real FICO. It says it is for educational purposes only and not the score used by lenders. The 591 Plus Score is a FAKO.
Thanks for clarification. This is so confusing. I have seen about 6 scores this week. ALL DIFFERENT!!! Geez!!!!1
