@Anonymous wrote:That sounds very wise. I'll be curious to know what your scores look like 30 days from now.
BTW, it's not that surprising to me that your Vantage scores should have gone down. Vantage is (in my experience) more sensitive than FICO to my CC balances going up, even when I am still staying at under 5%.
Thanks CGID
BOOM!
My Equifax FICO just dropped 11 points!

Would you remind us all where you are with the following four things?
- Total number of open revolving accounts
- Of these, how many are currently reporting with a zero balance?
- How many reported with a zero balance at the start of the experiment?
- Are you currently < 8.9% of each card's CL?
I know that currently you have a total amount owed of $3500 with 3.9% overall utilization. Just don't know about the other four items.
Hope you are having a great weekend...
Thanks, CreditGuyInDixie
1. I have a total of 13 revolving accounts.
2. As of 5/16 start date, 10/13 were at zero (the other 3 totalling $241)
3. Presently 7/13 are at zero
4. The other 6, totalling 3500, are at the following percentages individually: 2%, 6%, 49%, 11%, 29%, & 29%.
Scores EQ (same), TU (same) , EX (-2)
This is great info SouthJamaica. I'm getting ready to put some new bedroom furniture on one of my cards for about 2/3 months. Was very worried that my score was going to drop again. It's still not back to where it was before I started my 10 card app in Nov. But I am finding out they really want you to charge. EQ hasn't moved for me since the last 3 cards either. Very weird for them? Thanks again!

Be sure to note my update... today my Equifax score just dropped 11 points!!!!!! That's the biggest drop I've seen!!!!!!!!!!!
Started May 16th with: 10 accounts at zero balance, 3 accounts posting total balance of $241, representing less than .3% overall utilization
Over the next 18 days (i.e. through June 3rd), I allowed 6 of the 13 revolving accounts to post a total of 3471.33, for 3.9% overall utilization, with individual account utilization ranging from 2.1% to 49%.
June 8th FICO scores over May 16th scores: EQ (-11), TU (same) , EX (-2)
[Extraneous factors also in play: EQ: 1 inquiry TU: 1 inquiry EX: none ]
Hey SandiBeach... SJ just posted a few crucial updates. We'll probably have a much better idea what her FICO impact is going to be 20-30 days from now. She has noticed a big loss at EQ today.
SJ... thanks for keeping us all in the loop, especially about any other factors that could affect your scores. (For example, the recent inquiry that appeared on Equifax and TU.) If you are really interested in trying to isolate other confounding factors (you may not care that much, which is fine) here are a few that occur to me:
Duiring the course of the experiment...
Will your AAoA will cross over an integer mark? (e.g. go from 1.9 to 2.0? 2.8 to 3.0? etc.)
Will the age of your oldest account cross over an integer mark?
Will any account go from being less than 365 days old to more than 365?
Were any accounts opened?
Will any derogatory data fall off your profile?
I'm not going to be able to answer the first 3 of those categories.
The last 2 I will mention if they occur.
I'm a he, not a she.
ARGGGHH! So sorry, buddy! I have no idea why I thought for a sec that you were a girl -- total brain seizure on my part and the wrong pronoun came out. Forgive me.
Thanks again for starting this thoroughly awesome thread.
No problem After all my moniker is gender-neutral
I have two secured CC's for $200 each. My scores seem to move 8-15 pts when they get reported as carrying a high balance (>300) vs. low/no balance.
